Work in this area is undertaken by HCPC registered clinical psychologists with specialist knowledge and expertise working with a range of neurological conditions.

Depending on what is required, we provide cognitive assessments (for therapy purposes only), neuro-behavioural assessments and intervention, cognitive rehabilitation and evidence-based psychological therapies for individuals, couples and families. Work is often undertaken with support / clinical teams and rehabilitation professionals.

Working with a clinical psychologist when you have sustained a brain injury often involves building a coherent understanding of current needs and abilities and identifying where psychological therapy can be beneficial in supporting these needs and adapting to altered abilities. We work with emotions, behaviours, decision-making, relationships, confidence, independence and a range of cognitive difficulties.

Our Neuropsychology Team

S suffered a brain haemorrhage which impacted both speech and comprehension. Sarah Gibbin works with S at home most weeks and S has improved greatly during this time. Sarah motivates by recognising interests and always changing the tasks before frustration sets in. S has a great relationship with Sarah and looks forward to her sessions, we would recommend Sarah to anyone.
