With 18 years of specialist experience in neurological rehabilitation, Caz has worked across acute, sub-acute, and long-term conditions in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community settings—both in the UK and internationally.
Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, MS, Parkinson’s, MND, Guillain Barre, and Functional Neurological Disorders. She’s held senior roles in neurology, neurosurgery, and stroke rehab units across London, Bristol, Gloucestershire, and Vancouver, including five years as a senior therapist at Bristol’s Level 1 Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit. She currently works part-time at Southmead Hospital in the outpatient spasticity service and on the acute neuroscience wards—and proudly holds the unofficial title of “rehab junkie.”
Caz has a keen interest in innovating technology to deliver the therapy intensity research shows is vital for recovery. With a flair for problem-solving, she founded SoleSense, an award-winning startup using foot-sensor feedback to support independent rehab. She also advises other neurorehabilitation tech companies, helping shape user-focused design and real-world testing.
Beyond clinical practice, Caz is Treasurer of the Southwest Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology committee (ACPIN), helping to support professional development across the region. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in higher education from Plymouth University and has held a research post at the Royal United Hospitals Bath. She is a member of NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneur Program, and as such is now coordinating clinical and lab-based research for the SoleSense solution across universities and clinical rehab units in the UK.
