Andrew draws upon a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to assess, develop formulations and provide treatment for individuals with emotional, behavioural and cognitive difficulties. He is strongly influenced by the bio-psycho-social approach and has a particular interest in supporting patients with Functional Neurological Disorder. He very much enjoys working as part of an MDT, taking opportunities for joint working when appropriate. He is experienced in working individually with clients, facilitating groups, and working systemically with families and staff teams.
Andrew very much enjoys working in a person-centred way to develop a shared understanding of presenting problems. He is passionate about developing supportive therapeutic relationships to help clients identify meaningful goals, support adjustment, and develop effective coping strategies to manage symptoms.
Alongside Andrew’s work with Arbor, he works for the NHS at the Royal United Hospital in Bath. He also contributes to the Neuropsychology teaching for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Bath.
