Understanding later life and dementia
As people age, changes in memory, mood, and physical ability can affect everyday life. And when these changes are linked to dementia – including early-onset forms, or other neurological conditions, specialist support becomes essential to maintain wellbeing, independence, and dignity.
Our approach
Our service is led by a Clinical Psychologist and Dementia Nurse Specialist with extensive expertise in working with progressive neurological conditions like dementia. We provide tailored assessment, intervention, and support for people experiencing a range of later-life challenges, and support for families with seamless access to Arbor’s wider multidisciplinary team.
As part of the Arbor team, we have quick access to allied health professionals including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and clinical neuropsychologists. This collaborative approach ensures holistic, expert care designed to meet individual needs.
We offer neuropsychological assessments to assist with diagnosis, guide interventions, and monitor changes over time. Capacity assessments and Best Interest decision support are also available.
Recognising the unique needs of people living with young-onset dementia and their families, we provide individualised care planning and support to help navigate these challenges.
