On Sunday 21 September, a team from Arbor took part in the Gympanzees Charity Dragon Boat Race in Bristol. Spirits were high, the paddling was enthusiastic, and the collective effort paid off — together, the team has already raised an amazing £1,400 for this much-loved local charity.
Gympanzees is a Bristol-based organisation working to close the huge gap in accessible play, exercise, and social opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. Their pop-up centres, specialist equipment, and plans for the UK’s first year-round inclusive facility are transforming families’ lives across the region. We’re proud to support the important work they do.
A huge thank-you to everyone who rowed, cheered, and donated. The mix of splashing, teamwork, and healthy competition made for a brilliant day — and every contribution will help Gympanzees continue providing life-changing support to families.
This lot did us proud today. We had such a fabulous day out with lots of splashing, hard work, and fun. We came a very respectable 8th out of 16 teams — and most importantly, we didn’t fall in the water!
