Kesta is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with specialist post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC (regulatory body) and is a member of the Division of Neuropsychology within the British Psychological Society.
With eighteen years of specialist brain injury experience, Kesta has worked across high dependency units, acute hospitals, post-acute settings, an early discharge scheme and community rehabilitation environments. Since starting her career, she has been committed to working with adults with acquired brain injury and is well-known within this field. Kesta has also worked for three years at the University of Bristol as a teaching fellow, teaching on the applied Neuropsychology programmes.
Kesta applies psychological theory and practice to the assessment and formulation of adults with complex neurological difficulties and enjoys the rehabilitation aspect of working with these adults the most. Kesta also has a special interest in working with the families, support teams and undertaking wider multi-disciplinary team interventions around the individual with the brain injury. She is competent in neuropsychological assessment and adept at the application of traditional evidence-based psychological models as well as ‘third-wave’ cognitive-behavioural approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), having undertaken specialist training in this therapy.
Kesta considers her work a privilege and enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients. She works hard to ensure that her work is accessible and based on an individual’s own goals, with clear formulation and evidence-based interventions. Kesta is experienced in working with adults with a wide variety of psychological difficulties and would be happy to discuss any potential referral.
